day: fifty

botched workout *grumble*

i tried to switch some exercies to free weights, but i didn't quite compensate for the difference between free weights and machines. so i was lifting much too much, which tired me out too soon, which botched the sets.

about half of the workout was good though. we'll fix it all up.

day: forty nine (weigh-in)

well folks it's that time of the week; my seventh weigh-in since i started my "quest".

first, my measurements taken last week at the same time of day:

Body Weight: 185.4 lbs
Chest: 21 mm
Waist: 20 mm
Thigh: 21 mm

Body Fat: 17.5%
Lean Mass: 152.96 lbs
Fat Mass: 32.45 lbs

and now for this week's results:

Body Weight: 181.8 lbs
Chest: 20 mm
Waist: 19 mm
Thigh: 20 mm

Body Fat: 16.6%
Lean Mass: 151.62 lbs
Fat Mass: 30.18 lbs

i lost 2.27 lbs of fat and lost 1.34 lbs of muscle.

alright, so. no updates this week so i'll give you the summary. monday through friday not too bad at all. saturday = bad. pizza, booze, apple cup and basketball game. today, not bad either.

so i've lost muscle mass two weeks in a row. this means two things (i think):

1) i'm not drinking enough protein throughout the day. this i will begin to resolve this week. it's not a matter of increasing from what i should be at, it's a matter of actually drinking what i should be.

2) my workouts have become slightly more stagnant. (read: my body is too used to the routine) so this week i'm going to switch to the intermediate program. shorter workouts, muscle groups broken up to maximize recovery time.

i anticipate being bad on thanksgiving (some what), but other than that i should be good this week.

thus far, i've lost 24.36 lbs of body fat and gained 4.16 lbs of muscle.

day: forty two (weigh-in)

well folks it's that time of the week; my sixth weigh-in since i started my "quest".

first, my measurements taken last week at the same time of day:

Body Weight: 186.2 lbs
Chest: 21 mm
Waist: 21 mm
Thigh: 21 mm

Body Fat: 17.8%
Lean Mass: 153.06 lbs
Fat Mass: 33.14 lbs

and now for this week's results:

Body Weight: 185.4 lbs
Chest: 21 mm
Waist: 20 mm
Thigh: 21 mm

Body Fat: 17.5%
Lean Mass: 152.96 lbs
Fat Mass: 32.45 lbs

i lost .69 lbs of fat and lost .10 lbs of muscle. bad dieting on thursday. had too many days in between workouts as well. need to buckle down.

my weights:

Leg Presses - 235 lbs (+165)
Leg Curls - 110 lbs (+40)
Calf Raises - 120 lbs (+65)
Abdominal Crunches - 90 lbs (+50)*
Lower Back - 75 lbs (+15)
Tricep Pressdown - 70 lbs (+40)
Barbell Curls - 55 lbs (+25)
Lat Pulldown - 100 lbs (+40)
Lateral Raises - 12.5 lbs (+2.5)
Bench Press - 115 lbs (+50)

* decreased weight because i felt like i was straining too much and not actually working the muscles out well.

thus far, i've lost 22.10 lbs of body fat and gained 5.49 lbs of muscle.
